Details are still sketchy as this report is being written but it was believed that the cause of the fire that hit the Pilapil residence in San Juan street started with a candle that was left lit. No fatality has been reported as of press time, but sources said that a lone old woman resides at the two-storey house which is between the defunct Rural Bank of baras and the Reves residence.

Fire trucks from Baras. Tanay, Morong and Pililla arrived to help extinguish the fire.

More details as Baras Rizal Online gets the information.

It was a shocking incident for all of us barasenians…I remember this situation many years ago..I was in elementary when fire incident happpened in brgy. san jose.It was a traumautic experience 4 me..It happened again in brgy. san miguel 5 years ago..Thanks GOD,the fire has already extinguished..I observed the unity of the barasenians during this situation, they really find their ways to help affected family..On the other hand, many “uzis” are blocking the driveway of the firetrucks whrein the firemen cannot perform their job fastly..I saw u herbert taking pictures this evening..
