What to expect when voting
Posted on May 10, 2010, 10:14 AM under Political SpectrumI’m doing this post in Baras Elementary School, an hour after casting my vote. Here’s what you can expect in today’s polls.
-a very long queue of voters in the clustered precincts. I lined up at 7:05 am and was able to get the ballot at 9 am
-people giving out sample ballots at the school’s two entrances
-singitan with a twist. The elderly and disabled are allowed to cast their votes without the need of lining up. Their relatives accompany them and thereby are also allowed to vote. Don’t want to wait in line? Just look for an elderly and “assist” them
-food, courtesy of some candidates
