Dindo’s portrait shows up
I intend to do a one-post-a-day, but I don’t think this can wait until tomorrow. I dropped by the municipal hall to get some documents (concreting of the Baras-Pinugay road) when I noticed this new image.
If you would remember, I posted about the missing portrait of former Mayor Dionisio Donato “Dindo” Garciano in February. After four months, his portrait appeared in the municipal building.

You would notice, however, that leaves of palmera partly hide the name and the image itself. This is the worm’s eye view, followed by the top and side views.

Looking at the picture, it seems that the portrait was made by the same person who did the Robert Ferrera image.
According to Susan Mendoza, head of the General Services Office, the image was brought up by the Dindo camp about three weeks ago. She did not specify who gave the image.

Holy cow! why don’t they just re-arrange them? there’s too much space at the top portion of the wall. Simple problem with a simple solution instead of making much ado about nothing.

This is an article from the Presidential Management Staff website re the Baras-Pinugay Road Project. I researched on it to help the website administrator in his investiagtion as mentioned in the article.
GMA acts to complete unfinished road project in Baras
BARAS, Rizal—President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo today visited Baras town in Rizal province where she inspected a P24-million road project considered as a catalyst for the accelerated growth of the municipality.
The President also said meaningful peace in Rizal can only be achieved by improving the quality of life of the people.
The President disclosed that Baras Mayor Dindo Garciano sought the national government’s assistance due to lack of funding for the completion of the said road project.
She said she took the money requested by Garciano from her social fund.
“I was told by Mayor Dindo (Garciano) that they don’t have the money to construct this municipal road and he requested for funding from the national government, and this road project is a an initiative from the President‘s social fund” Mrs. Macapagal-Arroyo said.
Garciano thanked the President for going out of her way to personally deliver the fund needed to complete the Baras-Pinugay Road that links up with the Marikina–Infanta road to the eastern part of Rizal.
He reported to President Arroyo that the road project is already 70 to 80 percent completed.
Garciano noted that because of her great concern for their welfare, the people of Baras would give her their total support in the May 10 synchronized election.

Matagal na pong tapos ang project. Kung kayo po ay pumupunta ng pinugay, siguradong nadaanan niyo na yang project ni Mayor Dindo, at makikita niyo ang ganda ng pagkakagawa.

I saw the portrait and I guess there is a better location for Dindo’s portrait. If only somebody knowledgeable in interior design will be tapped to give a professional advice in at least re-arranging all the portraits. I am sure there are designers who are willing to help, even without fee. But, the huge problem in that hall is that almost all you encounter are all bosses. The bosses of all bosses. The Capos di Capis!!! Sadly, in that hall, there are Designers, Structural Engineers, Architects, Surveyors, Lawyers, Economists, Financial Analysts, Planners, Environmentalists, Agriculturists, etc… Name it, they have it!!! Do you notice the large billboard in Organic Agriculture? It should have been well-planned, studied and conceptualized, and properly designed. Sad to say, there’s no weight to that sign. None at all! Or better, no billboard at all with the theme of Baras being the first Organic Town! That theme is just a Product Of An Organic Imagination. We feel sad. Very sad as we were fools to believe!

To Website author:
Sir,
I hope you’re having a fine day! I just noticed that when you browse on BRO, you don’t see the latest comments. You still have to click on each post. Was that done for a purpose?

@ Florante
No, that was not done in purpose; it was the design of this template. I barely modified this template since this just temporary. As you might have noticed, posting of comments were disabled last week to give way for the reformat of the website. I am still tweaking the new template that will be installed. It will be more graphics oriented. I will also make some changes on the way BRO delivers news and updates.

well, i think they should change its position. A simple problem with simple solution. Probably no greater honor can come to any man than the respect of his colleagues………. ….. If you have some respect for people as they are, you can be more effective in helping them to become better than they are”.
