Barangay officials undergo crime detection seminar

As part of the country’s celebration of National Crime Prevention Week, police officers conducted a seminar on the role of the barangay on crime detection and arresting techniques. It was held in the gymnasium of Barangay Evangelista today, Sep. 3.
Sangguniang Barangay members, which includes their kagawads and captains and tanods, actively listened to Police Sr. Inspector Arthur Masungsong and PO3 Anacleto Valiente as they talk about how they could help the community in preventing crimes. Masungsong was a former chief of police in Baras and is now transferred to Angono, Rizal. Valiente on the other hand demonstrated some arresting techniques and martial arts. He is an investigating officer of the 419 Provincial Mobile Group which is based in Barangay San Juan.
This year’s theme was “Kapit Bisig, Kabataan tungo sa Kapayapaan, Now Na.”
Members of the Rizal Anti-Drug Abuse Office also taught of how one could detect a “drug addict.” The signs were as follows:
-mapag-isa / laging nasa toilet / bakanteng silid / dark place
-nanunuyo ang lalamunan
-laging nauuhaw
-bukas ng bukas ng refrigerator
-hindi natutulog
-laging kutkot ng kutkot
-tamang talino
-tamang hinala
-hindi kumakaain
-namumuti ang dila
-matigas ang panga
-tachycardic
-unkept / untidy /poor personal hygiene
-sumasama sa kilalang gumagamit ng droga
-laging naghahangad magkaroon ng pera
-bastos / walang galang
-makasarili
-magnanakaw
-tamad
In the morning, municipal officials conducted a training on waste segregation as part of the town’s participation in “Zero Basura Olympics.”
National Crime Prevention Week is held every first week of September pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 461 issued on Aug. 31, 1999.

kapayapaan mganda yan, kso pno mag ka2roon ng kapayapaan kung may mga taong wala mgawa sa buhay kundi ma manggulo nag lalakad ka lang su2ntukin ka pag minalas-malas at hindi ka nakatakbo sa2ksakin ka, mga sir na pulis sana mag ikot ikot kau lalo na pag gabi dahil maraming walang kwenta tao ang gumagala mga taong hindi na dapat mabuhay!!!

Saludo ako kina Police Officer Masungsong at PO3 Valiente sa pagtuturo ng training na ito. Magandang halimbawa sa mga mamamayan ng Baras ang magkaisa sa pagsugpo ng mga krimen na dulot ng droga.
Isa rin magandang halimbawa na ang mga magulang ang unang sumugpo at umalam ng mga maling kilos ng kanilang mga anak upang maipaalam sa kinaukulan hanggat maaga. Sana’y magtulong-tulong ang lahat.
