Recreation and relaxation in Wawa
If there’s something in Baras that the government should develop, it should be the Wawa in Barangay Santiago. I had a spare time last Sunday, at around 5 in the morning, to walk from our house to the rest house.
I deliberately waited for the sun to rise.

The place itself is something that is ordinary and very provincial. You could see the cows and the carabaos eating grass, with the chirping of the birds that serve as the background. The river is full of water lillies. As I walk in the grass, my slippers got wet because of the moist. Air is so cold. An hour later, sun started to rise. People started coming in - in cars, tricycles, motorcycles, bicycles, and walkathon. Most the babies are in their crib, while some are cradled by their mother. Some played volleyball, while younger kids played with their bikes.
What amazed me, however, is that the place was very conducive for family bonding. Take a look at this photo:

They may be too old, but still in love.

to michael:
why don’t you fund it?
but seriously, probably this can be funded by barasenians who want to give back to their hometown & share their blessings =)
