Town celebrates feast of Saint Joseph

Posted on March 15, 2008 by Herbert Joseph Carigma under Government, Religious Affairs

As stated in our previous post on the activities for the activities on today’s feast of Saint Joseph Husband of Mary, the town’s patron, here are some of the pictures.

We have hundreds of photos and it will take some time before I could edit and upload them. But the highlights are the mass officiated by Auxiliary Bishop Francis De Leon, the opening of the Organic Festival and the Sikaran Festival. Note that the wife of Gov. Jun Ynares, Andeng Baustista (sister of Sen. Ramon Revilla) visited the event, and was covered by Claudine Trillo for NBN 4. Former mayor Meliton “Latigo” Geronimo of course, was in the Sikaran Festival which was also covered by BBC.

Some exhibition games in the Sikaran Festival, which, as of this writing, is still on going.

I support the decision of Fr. Rico. The fiesta must have a liturgical significance. that is March 19 or May 1.
