The quarter-to-date collection amounted to P 3, 923, 751.47. Business and licensing tax was the biggest collection of the municipality which totaled P 2, 419, 178.3, followed by the collection for fire permits, P 306, 686.75. See the document below to see the collections per month.

Good job Herbert…I’m really proud of you posting correct information on the basis of responsible journalism. I want to shout for the whole world to know that in their own little way, the Municipal Officials, the Municipal Treasurer and his staff diligently encouraged the local entrepreneurs to file license and permits as a result of good Business practice. To think that what is posted is only business license tax collection, income taxes and realty taxes are not yet included. I wanna extend my 2 hands in congratulating Mr. James San Marcos for great work well done. Keep it up James, nasa kamay at sipag mo ang pag asa ng Baras….(Wag mo pagpahiraman ang collection. hehehe joke lang.) Just to let everybody know na ang site na ito ay nakakarating sa ibat ibang lupalop ng mundo, worth enough na papurihan natin ang mga tao nasa likod ng maayos na pamamahala. Applause to Mayor Willie, and the SB members, to the Municipal Treasurer, Assessor, at kayong lahat na nagsusumikap na mapaunlad ang munting Bayan ng Baras. What am really driving here is to inspire public awareness, transparency and encouragement.

I hope we will be looking for a good future of Baras with better local administration.
This example is a good public information of how efficiently our local officials are doing their job.
… Now the next move is how they will show us where this money will be allocated. They need to prioritize every projects to be done.
(Sana wala nang mga kickback) :)

This is just my own point of view: SAL of any gov’t employee is not entirely a public document whereas anybody can look into it. Not unless they are subject to any inquest by an appropriate party or they have a consent to have it made public but otherwise, its not. If I were on their position its inappropriate to have anybody prying on such information. There are certain grounds that allow such documents be made public if justification warrants it. But there two issues to be given into consideration, there are employees who belong to the Executive Department where appointments passed thru the approval of the Civil Service Commission and those that are holding Elective position and co terminus which term of office are not controlled by the CSC. They are entirely different, although the Executive Departments are under the strict supervision by the Municipal Officials whose appointments are Elective. Looking back to the trend, it is usually those that are holding an Elective position being question as to where the funds are being subject to, since they are assigned to their respective committees where funds are appropriated for public need like infrastructure, health, social services, calamities etc. The implementation of which passes thru the Head Office as to where the funds assigned to. Through the approval of the Mayor. Doon nagsisimula ang corruption. Mga tanong kung ginamit ba ang pundo ng pamahalaan sa tama niyang kalagyan o binulsa ba ng isang pulitiko at Hepe ng isang Departamento? Kaya nagkakaroon ng Life style check ang mga namumuno, from there, they check the Statement of Assest and Liabilities of such. So, with your request Mr. Admin. that could be posible. Why Not….nga naman???

“Public officials and employees have an obligation to accomplish and submit declarations under oath of, and the public has the right to know, their assets, liabilities, net worth and financial and business interests…” Pero yes, there are restrictions.

most of the time, di rin naman accurate ang mga submitted statement ng assets and liabilities ng mga government employees, and they can get away with it.
