Tuition Fee Discount at SJPS
Posted on May 18, 2008, 12:08 PM under EducationI just want to ask: Is encouraging parents to enroll their children in a certain school came to a point of advertising the academic institution as a promo, more of a mall 3-day sale?
Note: My mother and brother graduated from Saint Joseph Parish School. I graduated from Baras National High School.

June 9th, 2008 at 12:20 pm
there had been hushed rumors that the recent immediate resignation on Madam V has been contibuted to the “whispers” of a certain “individual” (might be “next-in-command” to Madam herself. (ur guess may be as good as mine!)
June 9th, 2008 at 6:25 pm

Saint Joseph Parish School envisions a community of committed individuals empowered by God to live life to the fullest in a peaceful, progressive and humane society. They seek to fulfill our vision by providing a well-balanced educational program for the formation of virtuous, peaceful, productive, responsible, and caring individuals imbued with Christian values, desirable attitudes, functional knowledge and skill relevant to the needs and demands of the society in the third millenium. Saint Joseph Parish School subscribes to the philosophy that education is not only a preparation for life but a continuing process of growth through life here on earth and in the life hereafter.
The school is basically an institution of learning aimed at the holistic development of the student into a self-reliant but socially responsible Christian Filipino who is proud of his race and culture and empowered to cope with life through his academic excellence, skills, values and attitudes.
To these ends, the student’s academic life is interwoven with experiential opportunities for such development. While the school stresses order and discipline without denying freedom of self-expression within the bounds of reason and law, it exhorts all its administrators, teachers, and employees to exercise responsible stewardship over the students and to be effective role models and instruments of formation.
December 22nd, 2008 at 7:31 pm
For STUDENTS to grow in faith, wisdom and virtues in intellectual, physical, emotional and social attributes to adequately prepare them for life here on earth and in the life hereafter.
For the TEACHERS to continuously enhance their professional competence and their personal qualities as role models of virtues and values and their commitment to service.
For the ADMINISTRATORS to stay united in faith and help build a praying community, to manifest qualities of good leadership and responsible stewardship of the school community.
For the NON-TEACHING PERSONNEL to provide quality service and work harmoniously with the different sectors of the community at all times.
For the PARENTS to be actively involved in the corporate responsibility of molding the children in the likeness of GOD.
For the ALUMNI to be loyal to and proud of their Alma Mater.

I do not classify Bro R. Digma as promoting SJHS. His comments are genuinely true as to what the visions and goals of our Parish High School. There are thousands of graduates who can attest to the benefits and consequential impacts the school had on their lives. Sometimes a reminder is imperative to let us know that we are lucky to have this High School in our community.
As far as to the changes of the administration in the school, we are not privy to what circumstances enveloped the changes. It is therefore appropriate for us to stay aside and let the school goes on its way as I believe both the outgone and the current school leaders are well qualified and experienced. This kind of change in a dynamic institution is normal.
To the school flyer that was the focus of many comments, that error is trivial and just a simple form. The significant information is there.

i am one of new generation alumni of sjps and i am proud to say that my alma mater had imbued me with skills necessary for me to compete in one of manila’s and country’s finest universities…
the trainings that i had received from this “small” but “terrible” educational institute allowed me to be and remain on the top…my 4 years of stay in the hillside school, with the heavy loads of lessons and assignments vis-a-vis the extra-curricular activities done in campus, division and national events, prepared me to take the path towards the attainment of my dreams…
yes, there are grammatical errors in the flyers that they are distributing but those errors do not purely provide the notion that this institution is not competent nor her faculties not qualified to teach…
there are other sides that we must analyze in order to grasp the sublime truth that strengthened this educational institution. she seems to be one of the bulwarks of this town. she flourishes for more than 50 years, it is but fitting and proper for us to say that she’s “more than gold.”
academic excellence and strong christian formation. justicia et veritas.

One thing, I admire your action being vigilant:it is your rights to express own opinion, comment or commendation.
February 13th, 2009 at 3:47 am

Our future is purchased by what we have at present.
SJPS is a legacy that each josephian has to preserve and protect.
Let our line of thinking be more substantial in nature as we bring issues of general interest and not issues that just cover somebody else’s “personal agenda”.
We can possibly make SJPS a better place as a learning institution by way of inviting “good-natured” exchange of views that whoever come across reading this page, we tend to BUILD, BRIDGE and RENEW A VIBRANT OF HIGHLY-SPIRITED BARASENIANS who would stand for SJPS towards the realization of its mission and vision for the benefit of the individual members of the community and the whole of the municipality of Baras.

i suggest to herbert not to allow comments using foul words.
to all the commentators especially on this article, please remember you are referring to a catholic institution and teachers are obviously part of it. if you have personal differences with them, don’t take it here. you’re just making our website a garbage disposal of your foul words! if you think you are better than this teachers, you should act accordingly. what you’re doing/saying here is a proof that you are just the same as the accused teachers. look yourselves in the mirror, obviously you have the same dirt in the face just like them. don’t waste yourselves here, please.
