“Banggandang Baras” Schedule of Activities

Barasenians want to exaggerate. Bang-laki. Bang-galing. So the Tourism Council took that cue to create a slogan to highlight what’s beautiful in Baras. Activities are lined up to celebrate the town fiesta that will culminate on January 29.



19 January – Municipal Choir Competition
20 January – Launching and Opening of the Baras Travel Mart at Kultural Pagtatanghal. Unang Hirit will cover the event.
21 January – Parade of Mrs. Baras at 8 am while the pre-pageant will be held at 7 pm
22 January – Bigtime Bakbakan sa Baras – Inter Town Amateur Boxing Tournament and Palaro ng Lahi
23 January – Videoke King and Queen Grand Finals
24 January – Senior Citizen and Person With Disabilities Amateur Singing Competition
25 January – Bulilit Amateur Singing Contest (14 years old and below)
26 January – Barasenian Amateur Singing Contest (15 years old and above)
27 January – Variety Show courtesy of Baras Theater Arts Group
28 January – Bantay Turista Motorcade and Serenata ng Banda
29 January – Jamming of the Bands

Baras Rizal Online will cover major events for the town fiesta.

    HOY MGA PULIS SA BARAS MAG RESIGN NA KAYO ALA KAU SILBI ME NANAKAWAAN NANAMAN WALA NANAMAN KAYONG NAHULI….. WALA KAYONG NAGAGAWA PARA SA BARAS…. puro lang kayo kayabangan….

    wag nga kayo mag pauso o manggya sa karatig bayan… kung anu nakasanayan yun ang gawin.. nag karoon lang ng hane festival biglang umeksena namn ang banggandang babas,… baka naman mga gagong taga baras……hahahahaha

    Can ex-Councilor Monet Matignas take his oath as a member of the Philippine Bar when he has a pending case along with the mayor and some menbers of the SB before the Ombudsman.Paano kaya siya makakakuha ng clearance doon? just aking

    hi! :D Im a 2nd yr tourism student and as a resident of baras rizal… I want to be well equipped by knowledge about the potential tourist destinations and activities of baras rizal… to help promote our little town.. who knows it can be the secret to our towns success… can you help me help our town? maybe through some familiarization tour for us students… and with the help of word or mouth and pictures it can roam around the world that will serve as an advertisement for our own pride :D
