Cameras, specially DSLRs are so cheap these days. Earlier this morning, while taking pictures of the Salubong in Barangay Santiago, I can’t help but notice the DSLR owners taking pictures of the festive event. I saw at least four of them. Maybe it’s time that we bond ourselves together and put up a group. Just my thoughts.

2011 Good Friday Procession

Early this afternoon, while rummaging through some documents in my computer, I found that I have created a Facebook profile for our beloved town some months back. It is not an ordinary profile. It is the only page about our town than can be accessed through a vanity link – www.facebook.com/barasrizal. I plan to upload the photos I have taken for the past seven years. Meralco Lights Up Baras Church

You’ve probably seen the advertisement by Meralco, and wonder why the church looks familiar. Yes, that church is Saint Joseph Parish church, which recently was lit up by the Rizal sector of the energy distributor. Here’s an initial photo of the church. I’ll update this post tomorrow.

Here’s the podcast of the homily of Fr.Roberto Gaa of Holy Apostles Senior Seminary, a classmate of parish priest Fr. Romarico Hilario. Fr. Rico had a good laugh after it was “revealed” that he was a former dance instructor before becoming a priest 10 years ago.

Also included is the thanksgiving message of Fr. Rico.

Fr. Rico’s 10th Sacerdotal Anniversary

Rev. Fr. Romarico Hilario celebrated his 10th sacerdotal anniversary last September 21 in a concelebrated mass in Saint Joseph Parish.
