Anatomy of balut
I was in Tanay two days ago to cover a bowling tournament. I came across a bunch of baluts and so I thought of making a post about it. Read the rest of this entry »

Old calendar sets March 19 as fiesta in Baras
In the wake of last Thursday’s Tromba Festival, I came about this e-book entitled “Dimasalang Kalendariong Tagalog.” This is basically just a electronic version of the old book that was published 86 years ago, by Honorio Lopez. Read the rest of this entry »

As that day falls in Holy Wednesday, the Church decided that it will be celebrated on March 15 (Read the Catholic Online article here.). This confirms the earlier post that there will be no activities for this year’s fiesta. Read the rest of this entry »
Lame Christmas, No Fiesta?
Perhaps I was just used for the local government to always have something to showcase during the holiday season and the town fiesta. The past year however was different. On Dec. 17, 2005 and Dec. 30, 2006, Baraseños were able to listen to the music of Baras Band. The past Christmas season however was very lame. Read the rest of this entry »
