Suggestions for Baras Balita issue
Posted on March 25, 2008, 12:01 AM under Baras in the NewsCome June 2008, we will release Baras Balita newspaper edition. The long delayed newspaper will cover events and issues in the past year. Aside from the municipal projects, we would like to publish articles that will promote Baras, inspire its people, and in essence, live up the Barasenian spirit.
Yesterday morning, I talked with Councilor Ramon “Monet” Matignas and he gave me some idea on what we could include in the publication.
But we’d like to invite our readers to make suggestions on what we would include in the publication. Please post your comments in the fields below. It could be anything from simple to mundane. Do you someone who’s done a good deed in your community? Did anybody win an award? Or, basically, do you want to share something with the Barasenos?
Baras Balita is funded by the Municipality of Baras, through the Office of the Mayor. We present to the officials the articles we have made. In the past two issues, no article has never been censored. We practice self regulation in the photos and stories we write.

I haven’t seen a single baras newspaper yet, i don’t have any idea what we used to put in there. Maybe our people may want to read a lighter side of their community. You may want to add up a feature write-up / fiction that would showcase some places in our hometown. Are we invited to contribute anyway? (“,)

Your doing great actually I didn’t read or see all together but I’m very happy. You put Global Sikaran Federation. Probable I will send it to you all our updates activities here in United States.
Last January 26 & 27, 2008 We went to WINTER OLYMPIC IN LAST VEGAS, ALL STYLE MARTIAL ARTS. Last March 8, 2008
We’re joined the ” AMERICAN OPEN INTERNATIONAL TAE KWON DO & NORTHERN CALIFORNIA CHAMPIONSHIP” Held in California State University East Bay Hayward, CA., U.S.A.
That compititions are nvery top here in United States.
I will send you the results and some pictures so you updates all our kababayan.

As a Dindo fan, i hope that you can interview him about what he’s doing now and his future plans. Baras Balita should be for every Barasenian irrespective of political persuassion. Surely,the impartiality of Baras Balita can be shown if this is done, considering that your funding comes from the Office of the Mayor.

You can interview other ex-mayors, too. You might spare some space for them. For Baras Balita, try to browse on the Cainta newsletters. I think they have Info. Officer and that’s the reason their issues have good lay-outs, very objective write-ups, colorful graphics, etc. I had read the past issue. Mukhang ok naman ! I’m sure the June issue will be much better!! We can do shadow consultations for you even if our identities are not exposed. Coun. Monet will be a good adviser for that issue considering his dynamism. Dapat din maabot ng pahayagan ang mga maralita. Please consider language usage. More Power !

I hope it wont be a mouthpiece of the administration but a mouthpiece of the masses. Ooops, wait. It’s funded by the office of the mayor. I wont get my hopes high. =)

its already september! i just want to know if this baras balita is alredy existing. i couldn’t find the link to the past issues of this paper that said was on the category of the same name (herbert, help!)
