Time for some round-up of Baras, Rizal in the Internet.
- GMANews.tv reported that the Court of Appeaks has denied the appeal of Milestone Farms to be exempted from the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program. According to CA, “Since the evidence clearly showed that the 162-hectare portion is no longer used as a livestock farm, the reason for the exemption no longer exists. Read the stories here:

- Sun Star Manila reported on July 1 that the Makati City will appropriate P 10 million of assistance to be extended to its sister cities and towns. Baras became a sister town of Makati in 1995. The local Sangguniang Bayan also approved a resolution asking for assistance for the devastation created by typhoon Frank. A councilor even quipped: Laway lang ang puhunan. - Lastly, actor Gabby Concepcion went to his mom’s school, Concepcion Montessori which coincidentally is in Barangay Concepcion. But in an interview with the Inquirer, he mentioned: “…the first time was when I went to Baras in Tanay, Rizal.” After being out of the country for 13 years, he might want to review geography.
