Changes in making comments
Posted on March 17, 2010, 10:16 AM under All About BarasIt was never the intention of Baras Rizal Online to be a medium of hatred among Barasenians.
The past few weeks has been difficult for the site. It experienced downtimes which were caused by CPU throttling of the server where the site is hosted. I think that there is a deliberate effort to shoot down the website. I have to shut down the website for some instances to prevent more damage.
But more than the downtimes, negative comments hurt the site more. You might have noticed two things by now – first, some comments did not appear (I have read them though) and second, posters are now required to login to make their comments. This is the temporary solution until I could device a process of preventing the libelous statements made against some politicians. You might ask why not-so-nice comments were approved before, and why I’m doing it now. The situation is not the same. Now that it is election time, supporters of some politicians will find avenues and opportunities to tear down their opponents.
That being said, changes will come by Baras Rizal Online.

Defining “negative comments” referring to politicians or to anybody is something ‘subject to debate’. We will be coming subjective if we can not DEFINE “negative comments”. I think exposing such comments in this site radiates positive elements in such away that the people are being aware of. After all it will not harm this site.
